At the weekend
1 - 2 - New York City is a terrible place to be in the summer and there is no place worse than Soho on a Saturday afternoon, unless you happen to get lost and stumble into Chinatown. They're the sort of immersive, touristy neighborhoods I've spent my entire life trying to avoid, yet Pearl River Mart sells these $1.00 paper hand fans which are the only things that make summer life on the subway platform bearable, so what are you going to do? I cried a little yet persevered, for the sake of America.
3 - Sunday brunch at the Tipsy Parson. Cute, crowded, nothing special but the coffee.
4 - The view of New Jersey from the rooftop beer garden at Brass Monkey. Gold, Jerry! Gold!
